French OF recovered in Russia.

This French OF grenade was recovered at Murmansk.
It is fitted with the French BA Mle35 which has markings that would indicate it was made in 1940.

How did a French OF end up in Russia? Has there been a French contract towards Russia?

Alexey came with the following explanation, which sounds very likely.

The body of the grenade shown above might very well be a Polish manufactured grenade, with a French fuze.
After WW1 Russia had stocks of OF bodies in warehouses of Russia, they ordered Mle35 fuzes in France.
Next to the Mle35 fuze , also the Koveshnikov and UZRG fuzes were used.
