Type 97 functioned the same as Type 91 but could not be used as a mortar.
Different fragmentation. The fuze had a delay of 4-5 seconds.

Weight : 454gram including 62gram Tolite.
(Dr. Ruby weighed his empty T97 which is 395gram)
