MODELO 1963 is a defensive grenade made by SPE (Sociedade Portuguesa de Explosivos).

Green - HE with a frag. coil inside the casing
Black - practice ( marked "INERTE"). Filled with concrete.

An alternative igniter was available to make this grenade into a boobytrap (no delay).

Its body is made of plastic.
The following versions exist : Green - HE , Blue - practice (filled with sand) , Grey - Smoke or tear gas.
