The grenade shown below replaced the Lac M1, this one was also fired from the M1 carbine, with the use of a rod.
Launched from the carbine, the grenade could be fired up to 80meter.
It was issued with a lauching rod, see photo.
The brass coloured rod being the first type, the aluminium one was the second model.
Length: 96mm , diameter: 50mm.
Total weight: 200gram including 88-97gram pyrotechnic charge.
15-24gram CN or CS is included in the charge.
Fuze delay 2-3seconds.
