This defensive grenade is similar in size and shape as the US Mk2 grenade except for it's pre-fragmentation. The top was fitted with a black bakelite adapter which held the fuze. Two types of fuzes were used. A live grenade had a green body with markings in yellow.

This type was fitted with the French Mle35 Fuze, which was called "Ontsteker Nr.12".
This second model "C1" was issued with the Dutch improved mousetrap fuze, called "Ontsteker Nr.19". Other fuze types are No.19C1 and No.19C2, with small improvements. The body is painted green. Markings are in yellow.
Length w/fuze: 115mm , Diameter: 55mm. Weight: 670gram including 60gram flaked TNT. The manuals says that fragments fly up to 100 meter, safe zone is 300 meter.
