The MU-50 was made by the Misar factory (now S.E.I. group) , these grenades found use with the Italian special forces.
Grenades can be launched from a cup attached on the Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun.
There are also the MU-50E (Esercitazione - practice) and MU-50I (Inerte - drill).
