The grenades shown below are the training versions of the live stickgrenades. Different from the throwing practice stickgrenades is, that these were used with a small black powder-charge (Ubungsladung 30), and also used a normal pull fuze to ignite this charge. These grenades could be re-used after every training by replacing the spent charge and fuze.
The grenades shown on the right are part of my own collection. The steel (red) grenade is the common type without carrying lug, I have no documentation on the brass grenade.
The brass version could very well be Finnish or Norwegian. It is very unlikely that these practice stickgrenades were used in the German army. If anyone has documentation on this, please let me know.
Right photo shows the same brass grenade as above, but with the " Übungsladung 30" in place.
The photos below show another version of the practice grenade, compared to a stielhandgranate24. It saw use in German para-military organisations.
