This glass ampulla was filled with 15 grams of Methyl BromoAcetate. It was used in practice gas-chambers to check the tight fitting of gasmasks. The mixture is dangerous in high doses, but that wasn't known back then.
The capsule was ignited by 10cm safety fuze with a black powder charge fitted in the base, waterproofed.
