The P2 is a defensive stickgrenade made of 2 cans filled up with small shrapnel.
The fuze carried an impellor that released the stiker which was then free to hit the primer on impact. Duds often occurred due to dirt or short flight.
The fragmented liner shown next to the drawing is the inside of Paul's P2, unlike the drawing, that shows loose fragments.I have no idea how many variations are made.
