This cast iron grenade exists in several forms (10+ types!), as they were made by more then one factory.
It was used during WW1 by the Austrian troops.
The percussion fuze had to be struck to a hard surface to ignite it.
The fuze is protected by a threaded safetycap, which had to be unscrewed before use.
