HomeGRENADESAMERICASUnited States

This grenade consisted of a cardboard tube with two metal caps on each end.
The top cap held a threaded hole to accept the fuze.
The base of the body was constructed in a way so it could be fired with a rifle using the M2A1 (chemical) adapter.

Development of this grenade started during WW2 and after the first trials, some grenades were actually used in the field under the name T-14 and T-14E1.
First one provided 45000 candle power for 55seconds, the E1 gave 25000 candle power for 90seconds.

Except for the limited use of the T14 and T14E1 at the end of the war, the T-26 did not get adapted by the armed forces.

Length: ?mm , diameter: ?mm.
Weight: 595gram including 312gram illuminating compound.
The igniter was called T-18, and had a delay of 2 seconds.

I'm still looking for a good photo.
