This practice smoke charge was used with both the training-egggrenade and the training-stickgrenade.
It was placed in the grenade body, fitted to the pull fuze which was the same as the live grenades.
When thrown, all normal actions were taken as if it was a live grenade, but after the delay of the pull-fuze, the charge was ignited, producing smoke that was emitted through the holes in the grenade body.
